13. things wrong with horror games…

    1) everything is done at night. obviously. who waits for morning?
    2) sees dead person "hmmm, better go see whats up with that over there instead of RUNNING, because a dead body definitely isn't enough of a red flag. oops, there was a monster near the newly dead guy. I am shocked."
    3) when you hear a scary noise or see some freaky ass thing, you investigate. always go TOWARDS a murdery-entity.
    4) all sources of light are either immortal, or have an unrealistically short life span, yet no one gives an f that there are always candles that could easily be grabbed.
    5) all houses are constructed in a way that makes no sense other than as a haunted house, because lets face it; nobody lives in a two-story house of hallways and corridors with the occasional gaping inter-connected rooms, with non-stop doors. also, all forests make absolutely no sense, as they are in eternal night, and have the most random clearings, and the trees are as dense as an amazon.
    6) whenever someone is trapped in a house, the doors are automatically made of steel, because of course it would be too easy to just BREAK THE FRIGGIN DOOR with the eternal arsenal of random metal shit that are always placed in horror games, such as a coat rack, or rusty chair. also, apparently windows don't break, otherwise….why would you not break a fricking window? and if the door doesn't lock, you're always trapped by game borders. lovely.
    7) everything is deteriorating, shabby, old, and poorly made, falling apart, and yet you somehow cant just break through the doors, walls, ect.

    …but damn are they fun.
