Fun Fact: Just because a game receives hype does not mean it will be good. I would love for someone to name a game that has come out in the last 3 years and lived up to the hype it received. Example: Destiny was way overhyped and it ended up being terrible. Every Fnaf game has been hyped and yet every single one has been complained about. Hype is the slayer of games.

Jesus, I was hoping there would be some support at least in the comments. Fuck pretending being scared, I actually enjoy your cynical approach to games like these, it has comedic value by itself. I much prefer honest reactions to fake ones and I'm sure plenty of other fans, who like you for who you are as a human being, not just a bot for hyped up simple entertainment like screaming, would agree.

I feel like the reason FnaF4 failed here is the lack of attention holding gimmicks like cameras and such. The whole reason it was easy to get caught off guard is because your attention would be pulled to the cameras and then you'd forget to wind the music box. Or you'd be so focused on trying to find Freddy, that Bonnie would come in and tear your face off. The brain can only multitask so much and even less under pressure or stress, making you more susceptible to things like jump scares.
