I've been athletic all my life. I don't worry about what anyone else is doing or not doing. I have a three set per muscle group routine. Planet Fitness is where I work out. I haven't seen any of this crap at the PL I work out at. The most annoying thing I see is people of all ages, sitting on a piece of equipment texting. Apparently, some people have too much time on their hands.
If anyone talks to me like that i would tell me to fuck off, id rather be kicked out of the gym that let some dumb bitch tell me off

It’s really funny because the planet fitness I go to is full of regular gym goers all the way to meatheads. Not a single person in the area cares what you wear (assuming you’re not naked) what you drink (and it’s container) and how loud you get.
I lift in the A.M. to avoid that lunk shit

every planet fitness should should have some sort of wall to divide those who go to the gym properly, and those who feel insecure or uncomfortable seeing people getting real gains.
Unpopular opinion: if you want quiet deadlifts ask the gym to buy deadlift pads and bumper plates, don't harass people who are training and doing an exercise correctly.
My gym has poster that says that you can ask in the office for equipment if you see they lack a machine, equipment is missing parts or plates or see something broken and they will see what they can do. I went and asked for deadlift pads showing some links and shops where they could buy them and next week they were installed, literal night and day, they also told me they were a life saver since it's a 24h gym but on top there is an apartment complex and the complains from the neighbors have reduced significantly.
