Did you do a review of Meditations by Marcus Aurelius?
This book is not that simple especially for somone who hasnt read philosophy before. There's alot of refrences to formal logic that are good to know before starting this book. Meditations and letters from a stoic are way better introductions to stoic philosophy than discourses.
I like what Epictetus talked about when it came to being a slave, however I believe that Seneca put it in words the best way "Everyone is a slave to something"

I cant believe I found this on Felix's channel.
The stoics changed my life, I found them through CBT and REBT , and haven't looked back since.
I was once considered treatment resistant for depression and anxiety. Even with my mother on her death bed, scheduled to undergo MAID tomorrow. I have found the toolbox to analyze every single aspect of my life and perspective and am able to use it in circumstances that would have normally crushed me.
Marcus, epictetus, seneca, zeno, and the rest had incredible perspective and I am a better man for finding them.
Thank you Felix for the reminder that this philosophy can hit anyone.
